I saw an article on the topic of 20 things I wish I knew when I was 20. One of the pieces of advice was this: Always have something for just you. Even when you’re married and have kids someday, make sure you have something besides them that gets you out of bed in the morning. zenstudio is my something just for me and I love it!

When I first started at zenstudio I was scared. Scared that I wouldn't be able to keep up in class. Scared that people would judge me. Scared that it would be hard. But I went because I knew it was time for a change. I needed to do something to help me. From the moment I walked in everyone made me feel like I was in exactly the right place. I was accepted and encouraged in a way I never expected. The first few classes I was sore, I got sweaty, a few times I wanted to quit right in the middle but I pushed on and found that I was stronger than I thought. I've noticed a change in my body, I'm more toned and clothes fit better. I have more energy, fewer headaches, I can keep up with my kids. There are days when I think it would be easier to just stay home and not go to class, but then I remember the people there and how much better I feel about myself when I fight to finish a class that, in the beginning, I was almost too scared to start. Sometimes we have to fight for what is best for ourselves Not only is my body getting stronger and healthier, with each class I'm gaining confidence in myself as well. Joining zenstudio is the best decision I've made in a long time. thank you.

I took classes at zenstudio throughout my entire pregnancy. It helped with my morning sickness in the first trimester and, later, kept me feeling great as my pregnancy continued. In many ways, I was healthier than ever with zenstudio plus yoga. I also firmly believe that being in shape shortened my labor and postpartum recovery. Now I'm ready for some high intensity cardio again with studioCycle… zenstudio is so motivating. I love it!

There's this little party I like to attend every Friday at 4. It's been a few weeks since I've discovered the lights dimmed low/music up/dancing on my bike/black-light lit goodness. Yes, it's true. I've fallen in love with zenstudio and couldn't possibly workout/party anywhere else.

I never would have expected the place that I loved to work out would also become such a social network! Not only did zenstudio help make my transition to a new city and state enjoyable, it also opened my eyes to different work outs. I had participated in cycling classes at various places, but had never come across anything comparable to the style of indoor cycling classes that Camden offers at zenstudio. It is so unique and manages to push you to the point of exhaustion, while somehow managing to make the hour fly by! The BarreAmped classes offered have also completely changed my idea of what qualifies as a good workout. No longer do I worry about doing heavy weights for toning exercise. I have gotten awesome results from using the lighter weights with higher repetitions, as well as the isolated movements that all come along with BarreAmped classes. My legs and abdominal muscles have never been so toned! If I haven’t managed to say it already, zenstudio is one of my favorite places in Little Rock and I am so happy to have found it!

Trying a new exercise class has forever been an uncomfortable experience for me. I thought a place with 'zen' in the name might be different ... And it totally was!! Camden & her super sweet mama made me feel so at ease. My 1st visit was a free Tabata demo ... OMG!! Words can't explain how much fun this class is. {Or how much I felt the burn for the following week!!} These folks seek out the newbie, guiding you through the whole process. Even the clientele are helpful and encouraging.

Exercise has always been a part of my life. I grew up playing competitive tennis, continued on to play at the collegiate level, and for the last 6 years following college have continued to make fitness a priority. I was intrigued by zenstudio when I learned that multiple different classes were offered, including indoor cycling, high intensity interval training, Barre, and yoga. I gave each class a try, and I was hooked. The level of energy, constant motivation, physical and mental challenge, and professionalism that each class and instructor provides has given me a fun atmosphere that has totally changed my exercise routine. I attend 5-6 classes each week, and feel stronger now than I have in years. Because of the variety of classes, I am never bored and always feel like my muscles are being pushed further than I may push them myself. It is amazing to no longer dread going to gym or have to come up with new workouts to challenge my body; I now just head to zenstudio and let my instructors take care of the rest!

"I just ran my 6th Nike Women's marathon in San Francisco. It was my first 26.2 and I know the course like the back of my hand. It's hills are very challenging and every year I finished weak, feeling as if it beat me-- calf cramps, walking the last parts. This year, I ran strong the entire race. No stops. No fatigue. No cramps. Not once. I cruised along to better by time by 10 min 24 seconds... That's pretty damn good in runner terms for trying something 5 other times with similar results. It is WITHOUT QUESTION due to the leg strengthening from zenstudio... and I'm telling everyone that asks me the same thing! My legs felt so strong. There is 1400 feet of elevation gain/climb on this course. Of the two girls, you tell me who finished stronger! I just can't describe the difference adequately. Thanks ladies for what u have done for me and for running "a good show." You helped me to have the race day I've always wanted! Xoxo"

My weight has always been an issue for me. In the past 15 years I’ve gone from a size 2 to a size 16/18, and I’m only 5’ 2. During each of those years, I would be heavier than the previous year. In January of this year, I weighed 185lbs. I was the quintessential couch potato. My cholesterol was over 300. I had no energy, no self esteem and no confidence. I was embarrassed to go out in public. I had dabbled in Pilates and walked some; but wasn’t committed to either one and did not do them consistently. I knew something had to change. I read about zenstudio in a local paper in late January of this year. I had never taken a cycling class in my life and they kind of scared me. I had done very little Barre work. Two items in the ad really got my attention. One, the studio was about a minute from my house, and two, the first week was free. I called and talked to dear, sweet Pam Hyneman. After we talked, I felt I had known her my whole life. She told me about the practices of the studio, how the classes work and told me I had nothing to fear. I took my first indoor cycling class the next day, and I was HOOKED! Almost overnight, I went from very little activity in my life to taking five to six classes a week. I signed up for a one year contract and it has absolutely changed my life. I can’t say which class is my favorite because I love them all. To date, I have lost 35 pounds and over 20 inches. I’m so happy with my life now. My self esteem is back. I’m off cholesterol medicine. I don’t have time to be a couch potato anymore because I’m so much more active now. Going to zenstudio classes has encouraged me to drastically change my eating and cooking practices. My husband appreciates the results and is very proud of me. Yes, I did the work, but I couldn’t have achieved this without the encouragement and praise from Pam, Leah, Jenn and the other instructors at zenstudio Jonesboro. I love them all. I still have a long way to go, but I know I can achieve my weight/body size goals by continuing with zenstudio. I can’t wait for my next class!
